William Lawrence “Bill” Powers, age 70 of Nashville, passed from this life on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at his home. His remains will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Bill was born May 17, 1953 in Toledo, OH to the late William Joseph and Delvia VanOrt Powers. He worked for GrafTech as a customer Tech Serviceman. He was a Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed mowing and working in his yard, and loved decorating for the holidays.
Surviving him are his wife, Karen Joan Harvey Powers of Nashville; daughters, Lauren Kathleen (Brandon) Shacklett of Castle Rock, CO, Stacey Leigh (Joe) Hill of Gallatin, TN, and Chelsea Rose (Gary) Quezada of Alburquerque, NM; grandson, Oracio Lawrence Quezada and 2 grandsons on the way that are due in January; sisters, Cheryl (Bill) Behrend of Wooster, OH and Coleen, (Joe) Krajniak of Wilmington, NC; and brother, Terence Powers of Cleveland, OH.
The family request for memorial contributions to be made to either the Humane Society of America or Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
