Wanda (Ledford) Murray

Wanda Fay Ledford Murray, 69, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday October 29, 2021, at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Monday November 15th at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Middle Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday November 15th from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Murray was born October 27, 1952, in Springfield to the late William Edward and Callie Mildred Self Ledford. She was a retired cook and had worked at many of Springfield’s restaurants throughout the years. She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. Mrs. Murray loved playing BINGO, fishing, writing poems, listening to gospel music, and watching gospel preaching on TV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: David Ray Murray, and by her siblings: Jeannette Gill and Billy Ledford.

Mrs. Murray is survived by her sons: Kevin Dewayne Casey of Nashville and William Anthony Rose of Clarksville, by her sister: Alma Gail Ledford of Springfield, by her 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, by her nieces: Carolyn Gill of Springfield, Callie Lemmons of White House, and by her nephews: Eddie Gill of Springfield, Michael Gill of Springfield, and Billy Wayne Ledford.
