Wanda Sue Henderson, age 77 of Nashville and formerly of Springfield, passed from this life on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Tristar NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Chapel Church Cemetery with Jimmie Harris, J.R. Merritt, Cody Dean, Will Dean, Noah Merritt, Joshua Merritt, Josiah Dean, Jonah Dean, and Jeremiah Dean serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 until 5 PM and Monday from 11 AM until the time of service.
Mrs. Henderson was born September 17, 1947 in Springfield to the late John W. and Frances Marie Wilson Harris. She was a member of Clarksville Highway Church of Christ and Western Hills Church of Christ. She was retired from Electrolux in Springfield. She loved her children and grandchildren and her dogs. She enjoyed watching Perry Mason, Highway to Heaven, and Dateline on television. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Reed Merritt; daughter, Carrie Merritt; and sister, Frances Kemp.
Surviving her are her husband, Roger Dale Henderson of Nashville; son, J.R. Merritt of Pleasant View; daughter, Sue Anne Dean of Lexington, KY; brother, James I. Harris of White House; grandchildren, Cody (Demetria) Dean, Will Dean, Noah Merritt, Alyssa Merritt, Olivia Merritt, and Joshua Merritt; and great grandchildren, Josiah, Jonah, Jeremiah, and Judah Dean.
