Vincent Edward Pentecost

Vincent Edward Pentecost, age 57 of Springfield, passed from this life on Monday, April 11, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Duff officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Craig Pentecost, Joshua Pentecost, Billy Pentecost, Steven Pentecost, Ashley Givan, Kyle Givan, David Tucker, and Andy Grayson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Pentecost, John Dempsey, and Vincent’s grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 until 8 PM and Wednesday from 11 AM until the hour of service.

Vincent was born February 28, 1965 in Springfield to the late Billy Joe Pentecost and the late Yvonne Roney Pentecost Dempsey. He worked at Walmart and enjoyed animals of all kind and being outdoors. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and was always picking at them. He also enjoyed doing woodwork and going fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, Harrison Dempsey, and a dear friend, Jane Patton.

Mr. Pentecost is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Brittany Pentecost of Greenbrier, Joshua Pentecost of Springfield, Billy and Sierra Pentecost of Adams, and Steven Pentecost of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Kyle Givan of Cedar Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Macyl Pentecost of Springfield and John and Janet Dempsey of White House; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Jimmy Fain of Palmyra, Dawn and Ronnie Stark of Orlinda, Mary Tucker of Springfield, and Amy and Andy Grayson of Springfield; and grandchildren, Adrianne, Dylan, Jayden, Bella, Tessa, Samuel, and Savannah.
