Tony Wendell Porter, Sr., age 70, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 21, 1955, to the late Hulon and Mary Margaret “Petie” Porter.
Tony was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at a young age at Grace Baptist Church. After retirement, he worked for Blocker Farms, where he especially enjoyed produce season and visiting with all his customers at “The Tent” and “The Crib.” He was also a proud 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Western Star Lodge #9.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Ford Porter; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Rick Muchewicz, Kimberly and Clint Brickles; son, TJ Porter; sisters, Gale Cowan and Faye (Wayne) Stevens; brothers, Tommy (Julie) Porter and Lynn Porter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Tony’s greatest joy was being "Papaw" to his grandchildren: Alex Brickles, Ella Muchewicz, Wyatt Porter, and Landon Porter.
Funeral services will be held at Robertson County Funeral Home on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11 am with a Masonic service on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 7 pm. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 4 pm to 8 pm, and again on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9 am until the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be TJ Porter, Wyatt Porter, Landon Porter, Alex Brickles, Dalton Crumley, Maddox Ramsey, and Brad “Gomer” Blocker.
Interment will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
