Terry Wayne Hampton

Terry Wayne Hampton, age 67 of White House, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at St. Thomas West Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 AM until the hour of service.

Terry was born January 17, 1956 in Springfield to the late John L. and Evelyn Virginia Dunivan Hampton. He worked as an analyst with Community Health Systems. He was on the Grand Ole Opry circuit for 25 years where he was a musician, backup singer, and song writer. He was very skillful especially in woodworking and painting and enjoyed raising golden retrievers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Hampton and Billy Hampton, Sr., and a sister, Helen Alongi.

Surviving him are his brother, James Harold Hampton of Springfield; sister, Shirley Hampton of Greenbrier; nieces, Pam, Kathy, Janet, Talisa, Regina, and Lori; nephews, Ronnie, Lonnie, Billy, Jr., Scott, and Ryan; and many cousins.
