Teady Justice Obituary

Wilola “Teady” Teasley Justice, 92, of Cedar Hill, passed from this life on Saturday April 18, 2026, at The Residence at Alive Hospice. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday May 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brother Barry Throneberry, Tim Harris, and her grandchildren, Julie Russell and Dr. Josh Justice officiating. Her grandchildren and their spouses will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday May 2nd from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Ms. Teady was born May 24, 1933, in Springfield, to the late Will Farmer and Grace Murphy Teasley. She was a graduate of Coopertown High School, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at North Crest Medical Center for over 25 years, a member of the Farm Bureau Women, and she attended both Main Street Church of Christ and New Chapel United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being active in the women’s ministries. Ms. Teady would call herself a homemaker, but she was so much more as she knew the meaning of farm life and would often say “I can out work any man”. She helped with the cows and might be found driving a tractor every now and then, and she always raised a big garden every year. She enjoyed going to gospel music singings, gardening, and cooking, and her table was always open to anyone that wanted to eat. Ms. Teady’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: George Edwin “Buddy” Justice, and by her siblings: Doug Teasley, Joe Teasley, Jean Dowlen, Edith Nichols, Evelyn White, and Betty Potts. Ms. Teady is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Carol Justice of Cedar Hill, Jeff and Jennie Justice of Cedar Hill, and Randy Justice of Springfield, by her grandchildren: Julie Russell and husband Clint, Ann Jones and husband Josh, Sarah Dorris and husband Jody, Dr. Josh Justice and wife Bethany, and Brayden Lassiter, and by her eight great grandchildren and #9 to arrive in May.

If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Patty Dunn Memorial Backpack Program or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All donation can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
