Sunny Cavender

Sunny Cavender, 89, of Adams, passed away on Monday April 29, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare Center in Clarksville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Bruce Cunningham and Brother Gary Dillard officiating. Interment will follow in the Adams Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Dean Bagby and Bob Arms. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Sunny was born November 28, 1929 in Dickson to the late Hubert H. and Pearl Choate Cavender, Sr. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was a retired auto mechanic. Sunny enjoyed fishing, gardening, and being on the bull dozier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Lillian “Lou” Felts Cavender, and by his siblings: Mack Cavender, Marie Comperry, Gladys Carr, and Mildred Stuard.

Sunny is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Randy and Beth Cavender of Springfield, Ron and Ruth Bennett of Durant, OK, Don and Brenda Bennett of Adams, Scotty and Lisa Cavender of Adams, his daughter: Sandra Heatherly of Adairville, KY, his sister: Shirley Nipper of Springfield, and by 9 grandchildren.
