Sue Smith

Susan Lee “Sue” Smith, 59, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday August 19, 2022, at her home. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday August 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Sue was born November 5, 1962, in McMinnville. She was a graduate of Burkburnett High School Class of 1979, was a retired dispatcher with Robertson County 911, and was of the Baptist faith. Sue loved crocheting, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father: Jimmy Joe Duke, and by her brother: Jimmy Wayne Duke.

Sue is survived by her husband: William Miles “Bill” Smith of Springfield, by her son and daughter-in-law: Bert E. and Susan Lowry, Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX, by her daughter: Anastasia Orndorff of Wichita Falls, TX, by her grandchildren: Addison Lowry, Kassidy Lowry, Thomas Lowry, Kahlan Orndorff, Temperance Orndorff, and Makynzie Roney, by her mother: Jo Ann Fangmann of Wichita, TX, by her sister-in-law: Wendy Routh, and by her nieces: Hope Davis, Misty Weeks, and Amanda Pippin.
