Sue (Gainous) Grayson

Sue Grayson, 82, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday January 24, 2021 at The Waters of Robertson. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday January 28th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Thomas Traughber, Thomas Walker, Rickey Ward, Jr., and Jeffery Grayson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Grayson was born December 4, 1938 in Springfield to the late William Lesley and Eurie Redfearin Gainous. She retired from Electrolux where she worked in assembly. After retirement, she worked at Morningside of Springfield and did private sitting in homes. Mrs. Grayson was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. She enjoyed facetime with her grandchildren, playing bingo on her IPAD, and working word search puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Morgan Grayson, Jr., by her son: Jeffery Marty Grayson, by her daughter: Bambi Dale Nixon, by her brothers: Emmett Gainous and Nick Redfearin, and by her sister: Inez Grayson. Mrs. Grayson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Pam and Rickey Ward of Springfield, by her sister: Nell Traughber of Springfield, by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
