Sharon (Buffington) Jones

Sharon Jones, age 79 of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Voorhies officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with James Jones, Joshua Jones, Andy Smith, Jesse Biggs, Greg Staley, and Chris Holland serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 AM until the hour of service.

Mrs. Jones was born July 24, 1942 in Pennsylvania to the late Jonathan and Louise B. Hall Buffington. She was a member of Lifehouse Fellowship Church in Joelton and was a house cleaner and homemaker. She loved attending church and church activities and enjoy working crossword puzzles in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lloye Jones, and a brother, Tad Buffington.

Surviving her are her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Melissa Jones of Tyler, TX and James and Peggy Jones of Springfield; daughters, Vicky Roksandich and Beverly Jane Debra, both of Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
