Ruth (Carver) McClard

Anna Ruth Carver McClard, 85, of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at NHC Healthcare Center in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday March 8th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Benny Snoddy and Brother Frank Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Blake McClard, Lance Adams, Sam Andavazo, Zack Andavazo, Jeff Doss, Bill Wood, and Charlie Watts serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rondell McClard and Terry Gibbs. The family will receive on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Ms. Ruth was born August 28, 1937, in Springfield, to the late Thomas and Bessie Merideth Carver. She was a retired cafeteria worker from Springfield Middle School, and was a charter member of Greenfield Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Ruth loved doll collecting and going to yard sales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Dean McClard, and by her siblings: Wendall Carver and Pauline Carver Adcock.

Ms. Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Susan McClard of Springfield, by her daughter: Janice McClard of Springfield, and by her grandchildren: Blake McClard and wife Emily, and Bailee McClard.
