Royce Allen Kirby, age 70, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away on May 14, 2026.
Born on February 22, 1956, in Nashville, Tennessee, Royce lived a life rooted in the traditions of country living and enjoyed spending much of his time outdoors. He worked in roofing and construction throughout the years and found his greatest enjoyment tending to his garden, raising chickens, and caring for the things he loved. Royce was a free spirit who charted his own course through life, those who knew him knew he appreciated a simpler way of life.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Irene Kirby, and his sister, Susan Blair.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Kistner and Chyna Glasgow; five grandchildren; his brothers, Bruce Kirby Jr. and Wayne Kirby; and his sister, Lisa Houchin. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish their memories of him.
A graveside service celebrating Royce’s life will be held on June 6, 2026 2:00pm, at the family cemetery, located at 3227 Lewis Road, Santa Fe, Tennessee 38482.
As family and friends gather to remember Royce, they will honor a man whose life was uniquely his own and whose memory will remain with those who knew and loved him.
