Rosie Heatherly, age 94 of Springfield, died Friday, September 4, 2020 at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 11,2020 at 3:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Donnie Wallace, John Anderson, Chuck Norris, Rusty Wallace, Johnny Mayes, and Wesley Palmore serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Ms. Heaherly was born December 20, 1925 in Springfield. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and worked for many years at nursing homes. She loved gardening and canning. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Kiger; mother, Emma Blackwell Heatherly; a son, Ricky Lynn Heatherly; and a grandson, Jason Brown.
She is survived by her sons, Harold Wayne Heatherly and Don Wesley Heatherly, both of Springfield; daughters, Annette “Puggy” Anderson of Cedar Hill and Vicky Wallace of Springfield; brother, Lewis Heatherly of Springfield, grandchildren, Rusty Wallace, Emily Mayes, and Katie Keymon; four great grandchildren.and four step-grandchildren.
