Rose Ann Daruk, 73, of Springfield, passed from this life on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at NorthCrest Health. Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Jorgen Runquist officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Daruk was born July 22, 1947 in Manhattan, NY. She was retired from Greenbrier Elementary School Cafeteria where she worked in food service. She was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Daruk enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren and spoiling each one of them. She loved working search word puzzles and listening to music, especially Johnny Mathis. Mrs. Daruk was known for her cooking, especially all the wonderful Italian dishes she made for her family and friends to enjoy. She was preceded in death by her father: Joseph Aglione, by her mother: Cecil San Pietro DiGirolamo, and by her siblings Christine Quinn, John and Salvatore Aglione.
Mrs. Daruk is survived by her husband of 53 years: Frank S. Daruk, Jr., of Springfield, by her daughters and son-in-law: Donna Daruk of St. Louis, MO, Dora and Christopher Escue of Greenbrier, by her son and daughter-in-law: Frank and Callie Daruk of Adams, by her brothers: Joseph Aglione of St. Port Lucia, FL and Anthony Aglione of Baltimore, MD, and by her 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
