James Ronald “Ronnie” Pulley, 71, of Greenbrier, passed away on Sunday July 21, 2024, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville. His remains will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Ronnie was born November 5, 1952, in Indiana, to the late James Albert and Margaret Bush Pulley. He was always a hard worker and could do anything he put his mind to doing. Ronnie primarily worked in construction and concrete, and he was of the Baptist faith. Ronnie loved kayaking, fishing, and he loved to write and sing songs. He always enjoyed his time playing with his grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Marcia Roberts Pulley, and by his sister: Mary Eden. Ronnie is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: James B. “Jamie” and Shelia Pulley of Cedar Hill, Jeff and Genea Pulley of Cedar Hill, by his brothers: Larry Pulley of White House, and Terry Pulley of Springfield, by his sisters: Janie Sprouse of Springfield, Betty Flamm of Cross Plains, Patsy Anderson of Cross Plains, and Carolyn Griffin of Smyrna, by his two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, by his lifelong friend: Teresa Tharpe of Springfield, and by the one that outranked everyone else, his dog, Scooter.
