Reba Frances Herndon

Reba Frances Herndon, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Monday September 10, 2018 at North Crest Medical Center. Graveside memorial services will be conducted Friday September 14th at 1:00 p.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home. There will be no visitation on Friday prior to the graveside service.

Mrs. Herndon was born March 24, 1927 in Robertson County to the late Benjamin and Frances Osborne Bowling. She was a retired bookkeeper from Holman & Holman Insurance and she attended Mt. Denson Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Herndon was an avid Lady Vols fan. She enjoyed keeping busy and loved spending time with her extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Harvey Herndon, by her daughter: Arna Sue Herndon, by her grandson: Tyler Herndon, and by her siblings: Betty Pentecost, Charles Bowling, and Ruth Lieberknecht.

Mrs. Herndon is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Freda Herndon of Springfield, grandchildren: Grant and Ross Herndon, Lindsey Cox, great grandchild: Lucas Thompson, nieces: Karen Smith of Pleasant View, Linda Gail Casteel of Goodlettsville, nephew: Neil Bowling of Pleasant View.
