Phebia was born in Springfield on August 16, 1937 to the late Elvis W. and Lena Cook West. She was a graduate of East Robertson High School. She was a dedicated Physical Therapy Technician for 29 years in Springfield. She truly loved the work she did and was proud to be just as loved and respected by her patients over the years. Phebia loved and cherished being with her family more than anything. She was a patient, caring, generous, and fun-loving mother and Grammy. She enjoyed family vacations, camping, shopping, cooking, and anything else that involved time spent with them. She was the center of their world. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Larry Head, and by her siblings: Fred West, Sr., Joe West, Johnny West, Rose Lee, and Geraldine Smith.

Phebia is survived by her children: Brent Head of Hendersonville, Wendy Head Wylie of Hendersonville, and Penny Head of Memphis; by her sister: Robbie Jean True of Cross Plains, and by her grandchildren Taylor and Mallory Wylie. She also has many nieces and nephews with whom she loved dearly.

If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Holiday Heights Baptist Church. All donations may be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
