Paul "Pete" Henry Denning

Paul Henry “Pete” Denning, age 94 of Orlinda, passed from this life on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Waters of Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Revered David Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY with John Denning, P.W. Denning, A.J. Reynolds, Wayne Price, Jackson Price, and David Fulton serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 until 7 PM and Tuesday from 8 AM until the hour of service.

Mr. Denning was born November 20, 1928 in Orlinda to the late Joe and Maude Jennett Denning. He was a member of Orlinda Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a farmer and was a retired Tennessee State Trooper where he worked with the truck weigh stations. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Steen Denning; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Surviving him are his sons and daughter-in-law, John Denning of Orlinda and Phillip “P.W.” and Karen Denning of Adairville, KY; grandson, A.J. Reynolds; one great grandchild; and two great-great grandchildren.
