Paul Wisener Obituary

Paul Wisener, age 79 of Springfield, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 4:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Crouch officiating. Interment service will be Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Dale Swearingen officiating. Pallbearers will be John Wisener, Gabe Wisener, Connor Wisener, Cole Chaudoin, Michael Ashburn, Daniel Ashburn, Dale Swearingen, Jim Wisener, Jesse Wisener, and Bob Bruce. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 PM until the hour of service. There will be no visitation on Monday prior to the burial service.

Paul was born October 27, 1942 in Nashville to the late James William and Martha Ann Scales Wisener. He was a member of Orlinda Church of Christ and was a lifelong 3rd generation dairy farmer, which was the life he dreamed of. He was a hard worker, having moved to Springfield from Antioch in 1973. He loved his family and his church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of almost 59 years Gayle Chapman Wisener, who died in October of this year; brothers, Buster and Billy Wisener; and sister, Thelma Clark.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Brent and Amy Wisener of Springfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri Lynn and John Ashburn of Lafayette and Vicki Denise and Robert Chaudoin of Bowling Green, KY; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse and Pat Wisener of Christiana and Jim and Julie Wisener of Antioch; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ellen Wayman of Antioch, Jane and Roger McMurtry of Livingston, Sally and Tom Thomas of Ormond Beach, FL, and Dot and Bill LeVaugh of Pace, FL; grandchildren and spouses, Gabe and Meredith Wisener, Connor and Sutton Wisener, Cole Chaudoin, Kate Chaudoin, Daniel Ashburn, Michael Ashburn, Jamie Ashburn, and Emily Ashburn; and great grandson, Cale Wisener.  

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to Orlinda Church of Christ. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
