Orvice Jones Martin

Orvice Jones Martin, age 94 of Greenfield, IN and formerly of Pleasant View, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church in Coopertown with Pastor David Price officiating. Burial will follow in Ever Rest of Cheatham with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of service.

Mr. Martin was born April 20, 1927 in Liberty, KY to the late Solomon and Mae Flossie Gention Martin. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for many years in a grain mill end enjoyed doing woodwork and was a very good welder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two wives, Luedita Buckner Martin and Nancy Martin; and by his daughter, Sandra Martin.

He is survived by his sons, Albert Martin of Magnolia, OH and Chuck Martin of Greenfield, IN; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
