Ola Carlisle Obituary

Ola Thomas Bush Carlisle, 96, of Cross Plains, died Friday August 19, 2016 at Golden Living in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Monday August 22nd at 3:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carlisle was born July 7, 1920 in Robertson County to the late Ollie and Effielee Callis Bush. She was a retired LPN from Jesse Holman Jones Hospital. Mrs. Carlisle was a member of the Cross Plains Church of Christ. She loved going to yard sales, and in her younger days she enjoyed bowling. At the time of her death, Mrs. Carlisle was the oldest living mother in Cross Plains. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Russell Carlisle, her son: Charles Eddie Carlisle, her daughter: Brenda Joyce Carlisle, and by her siblings: Oliver, Charles W., Odell, and Raymond Bush, Bertha Mae Bush, Pauline Bush Clinard, and Louise Bush White.

Mrs. Carlisle is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Billy Wayne and Amy Carlisle of West Monroe, LA, Terry Dale Carlisle of Cross Plains, Jerry Gale and Earlene Carlisle of Greenbrier, 19 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
