Lovingly known as "Nanny" by her family, Norma was a homemaker for 73 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Most of all, Norma was a devoted Christian example who loved her Lord and Savior with all her heart. She taught Bible School for over 25 years. For many years she taught classes for two- and three-year-old children. She also taught third, fourth, and fifth grade Sunday School classes.
Norma enjoyed collecting art and figurines featuring lighthouses. She loved the message of the lighthouse as a beacon of hope and guidance. To Norma, the lighthouse represented strength, perseverance, and resilience in times of turmoil and adversity. Gladly taking on the role of family historian, Norma loved taking pictures of her family throughout the years. A house full of people made her happy! Beautiful sunsets gave her joy; they were featured in many of her photographs and poems. Among all the lovely memories of Norma, the family remembers she made the best biscuits and Southern sweet tea!
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
