Nell Doran Talley, 93, of Orlinda, passed from this life on Monday February 16, 2026, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday February 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Lance Wamble officiating. Interment will follow in the Russellville Memorial Gardens in Russellville, KY with Chris Moberly, Nick Pierce, Chad Pierce, Ethan Talley, Rob Imlay, and Ben Sowell serving as pallbearers. John Moberly will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Ms. Nell was born May 20, 1932, in Greenfield, to the late Virgil Thomas and Dora Mae Baker Doran. She was a retired sales associate from Sprouse Brothers Ace Hardware, where she worked for over 24 years at both the Springfield and White House stores. Ms. Nell was an active member of Orlinda Baptist Church, where she enjoyed being one of the weekly offering recorders and working diligently in the church card ministry and was also an active member of the Byrum Porter Senior Center in Orlinda for many years. She loved cross stitching, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Andrew Talley, Sr. Ms. Nell is survived by her children: Karon Hayes and husband Wayne of Auburn, KY, Andrea Moberly and husband Benny of Russellville, KY, Susan Pierce of Russellville, KY, and Jim Talley of Orlinda, by her grandchildren: Corinna Imlay, Chris Moberly, Nick Pierce, Chad Pierce, and Ethan Talley, by her great grandchildren: Savannah, Siddalee, Ben, and John, and by her siblings: Wesley Doran of Dresden, Faye McCartney of Dresden, and Louise Nanney of Jackson.
