Nancye Keach Scoggin, daughter of Robert Earl Morris and Cassie Keach Morris
and wife of John William Scoggin, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the age of 93. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Oakhurst chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Jim McAfee officiating. Burial followed in the Williams Chapel Cemetery with John Scoggin, James Scoggin, Jason Salzer, Robert Peterson, William Scoggin, and Brian Cope serving as pallbearers.
Nancye was a proud Army Wife, Sister, Devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Loyal Friend. Those lucky enough to know her, found that she was strong, tough, ornery, funny and most of all, loving. She was a homemaker, made awesome fried chicken and volunteered as a “Pink Lady” at NorthCrest Medical Center. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John William Scoggin; her sons, Robert Denton "Bob" Scoggin of Clarksville, Thomas Gilbert "Tom" Scoggin of Springfield, and her sisters; Margaret Fletcher, Edna Savage, Betty Moore, and Bertha Draper
Nancye is survived by, her sons; John Morris “Johnny" Scoggin of Columbia, James Houston “Jamie” Scoggin of Nashville, and her daughter; Carolyn Keach “Carol” Shearon of Paris 26 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren.
