Nancye M. (Mason) King

Nancye M. King, 88, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday December 6, 2019 at North Crest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday December 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Hopewell Baptist Church with her grandson, Joe Donald King, Jr., and Reverend Jim Woodard officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery with Chet Mason, Andy Mason, William Head, Clay Head, Marv Wall, and Leslie Hancock serving as pallbearers. Her grandsons, Joe Donald King, Jr., Michael King, David Lynn King, Jr., Cullen Mason King, and Todd Maddux, Jr., will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Hopewell Baptist Church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

Mrs. King was born February 1, 1931 in Springfield to the late Chester and Martha Anderson Mason. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Mrs. King enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. King, siblings: Rachel Turney, Don Mason, and C.C. Mason, Jr.

Mrs. King is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Joe D. and Liz King of Springfield, David L. and Cathy King of Springfield, by her sisters and brother-in-law: Linda Corbin of White House, Mary Ellen and Frank Cleveland of Duluth, GA, and Janelle Goodlett of Clarksville, by her brother and sisters-in-law: Kenneth and Juliana Mason of Springfield, Barbara Mason of Springfield, by her grandchildren: Joe Donald King, Jr., Michael (Caitlin) King, David Lynn King, Jr., Cullen Mason King, Jessica Marie King, Stephanie (Robin) Brannon, Ashley Rauch, and Todd Maddux, Jr., and by 13 great grandchildren.
