Nancy Wilks (Ramsey) Brown

Nancy Ramsey Wilks Brown, 84, of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday September 6, 2023, at White House Health Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday September 11th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother David Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Michael Lee Ramsey, Charles Mark Ramsey, Randy Ellis, Brian Schmidt, Marty Schmidt, and Galen Ross serving as pallbearers. Kevin Gray will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Nancy was born April 22, 1939, in Adairville, KY, to the late Hobert Lee and Ethel Pearson Ramsey. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1958. Nancy was a real estate landlord, a retired line worker with CEI, she worked many years for Acme Boot in Springfield and Clarksville, and sold Home Interior products. She was a member of New Life General Baptist Church in Springfield. Nancy loved going to auctions and yard sales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Thomas "Tom" Brown, by her sons: Rodney Wilks and Donnie Wilks, by her siblings: Hobert Lee Ramsey, Jr., Charles Ramsey, Frances Schmidt, and Helen Kennedy, and by the father of her children: Don Frey Wilks, Sr.

Nancy is survived by her daughter: Lisa Wilks Leftrick and husband Ralph of Springfield, by her granddaughter: Samantha Arms and husband Charles of Cedar Hill, by her great grandson: Ramsey Curtis Arms, by her sister: Shirley Ramsey Adams of Greenbrier, by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and by her baby, her dog, Precious.
