Mitch Hale Obituary

James Mitchell “Mitch” Hale, Jr., 47, passed away peacefully at his home in Ridgetop, Tennessee, on March 29th, 2020.

Mitch was born on March 19th, 1973, in Nashville. He attended his early years of school in Greenbrier. Mitch and his dad moved to Wilmington, Delaware, in 1985 where he attended John Dickinson High School and the University of Delaware. Later, he lived in Marco Island, Florida, for two years before returning to the Nashville area to work for the State of Tennessee in the Taxation Department.

Mitch loved his family dearly and was never shy about letting them know how he felt. He had many life-long friends and co-workers that he loved and stayed in contact with, especially his dearest friend, Joy Crocker, who was like a sister to him.

Mitch enjoyed the simple pleasures life, including his beloved dog, Chaka.

He had a deep love for Nashville (“his town” as he called it) and was very proud of its sports teams and abundance of entertainment.

Mitch is survived by his father, Jim Hale, and stepmother, Donna Hale, of Chesterfield, Virginia; maternal grandmother Martha Evetts; paternal grandmother Margaret Hale; brother Steven Dorrell , sister-in-law Christi, and nieces Cara and Calla Dorrell of Chesterfield, Virginia; brother Ryan Hale of Chesterfield, Virginia; and cousins Amanda Frank Jones and Brandon Frank of Ridgetop, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Harley Ann Baker and grandfathers Robert “Bobby” Fuqua and Charles Hale, Sr.
