Mildred Randolph Dennis, age 93 of Springfield, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Drake officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery with Caleb Velazquez, Christian Kirby, Austin Spangler, Steve Randolph, Adam Randolph, Ryan Gilbert, Janice McGhee, and Joe Casey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Barbara Kirby and Diane Douglas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 11 AM until the time of service.
Mrs. Dennis was born January 13, 1931 in Springfield. She was a member of North Springfield Baptist Church and was a hard worker all of her life retiring from Wilson Sporting Goods. She loved yardwork, tending her flowers and keeping the sticks picked up. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved life by helping others whenever she saw a need.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Clifton Melvin Dennis; parents, Miller and Bertha Choate Randolph; brothers, Ralph and Joseph Randolph; great grandson, Justin McGhee; and sons-in-law, R.L. Douglas and Dudley McGhee.
Surviving her are her daughters, Barbara (Wayne) Kirby of Springfield, Diane Douglas of Springfield, and Janice McGhee of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Shaun (Kelley) McGhee, Dennis (Jessie) Spangler, Leanna Kirby, John Michael (Crystal) Gilbert, and Ryan Gilbert; great grandchildren, Kaelin (Sara) McGhee, Caleb Valazquez, Harley Gilbert (Eli West), Austin Spangler, Christian Kirby, Ocoee Gilbert, Addysyn Spangler, and Wyatt Gilbert; nephew, Steve (Teresa) Randolph; and great nephew and niece, Adam and Rachel Randolph.
