Obituary

Michael Dale Haley, 64, of Springfield, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at St. Thomas Mid-Town Hospital. Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, October 1st at 4:00 p.m. at the 431 Church with Pastor Rickey Pryor, Michael Redfern, Pastor Tony Stratton, Pastor Marty Marshall, and Jarrod Wilkerson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

Mr. Haley was born April 21, 1958, in Nashville, TN to the late Henry Young Haley and Eller W. Haley Netherton. He was a jack of all trades and retired from Lowe’s. He loved being Poppie to his six grandchildren and loved his family deeply. He also enjoyed fishing when he was available to go. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother: Geraldine Haley, brothers: David Haley and Steven Haley, and sisters: Judy Wilson, and Connie Louise Haley.

Michael is survived by his wife of 44 years: Vickie Shoumake Haley of Springfield, by his sons and daughters-in-law: Michael R. (Rachel) Haley of Springfield, and Henry F. (Sabrina) Haley of Bee Spring Kentucky, by his sisters: Barbara Yeakey, Wanda Blackburn, Mickey Piche, Sandra Roach, Darla Wilkerson, Linda Vick, and Terry Lynn Henderson, and by his grandchildren: Aurora, Gavin, Daphne, Rozzy, Athena, and Adalynn.
