Mary Jewel Wooden Fuquay, 94, of Springfield, passed from this life on Sunday January 19, 2025, at Morningside of Springfield.
Mrs. Fuquay was born June 24, 1930, in Adairville, KY to the late William Clifton and Barbara Anne Sircy Wooden. She was a homemaker, the center stone of her family, and a member of Woodland Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and canning, traveling, dancing with her late husband at Military Balls, watching sports on television, laughing, and visiting with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Paul Kempf Fuquay, and by her siblings: Willie Bea Sircy Wooden Yates, Drury Vernon Wooden, and Dorothy “Dot” Wooden Burr.
Mrs. Fuquay is survived by her children: Eva Paulette Jones of Adams, Paul Kempf (Brenda) Fuquay Jr. of Springfield, Donald Vernon (Fanta) Fuquay of Cedar Hill, and Deborah Fuquay (John) Hart of Lynchburg, and by her ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, and a private family graveside service will be conducted in Springfield Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making a memorial donation to Stokes Brown Public Library, or the public library of your choice, in her memory.
