Mary Ann (Glidewell) Browning

Mary Ann Glidewell Browning, 87, of Cross Plains, passed from this life on Thursday December 2, 2021, at her home. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday December 4th at 1:00 p.m. in the Cross Plains Cemetery with Reverend Rick Robinson officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel Pearson, Barry Jones, Jim Fisher, Mack White, Chris White, Joey Drury, Braden Jones, and Knox Jones. The family will receive friends at the graveside services on Saturday.

Mrs. Browning was born April 1, 1934, in Cross Plains, to the late Ewell and Priscilla Swann Glidewell. She was a retired clerk with the ASCS Office and was a member of Milldale Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Browning loved watching basketball and football. She was an avid Tennessee Titans fan and U.T. Vols fan, especially the Lady Vols Basketball team. More than anything else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Browning, and by her siblings: Tim Glidewell and Bertha Campbell. Mrs. Browning is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Ann Beth and Harold Pearson of Cross Plains, by her son: Robert Ewell Browning of Mt. Juliet, by her grandchildren: Nicole Jones and husband Barry, Daniel Pearson and wife Shanda, by her great grandchildren: Nataleigh Pearson, Braden Jones, Faith Pearson, and Knox Jones, and by her beloved cat: Callie.
