Mary True Obituary

Mary Jean True, age 56 of Springfield, passed from this life on December 31, 2021 at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville. In following her wishes, her remains will be cremated and buried in Springfield Memorial Gardens with no public service.

Mary Jean was born September 30, 1965 in Springfield. She was a graduate of Greenbrier High School Class of 1984 and loved all animals, especially horses and dogs. She was in the hotel industry as a night auditor for over 25 years before becoming disabled.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Martin True; maternal grandparents, Charles G. and Mary “Mae” Ellis Brown; and paternal grandfather, William D. “Dick” True.

She is survived by her mother, Kay Brown (Gary) Dorris, father, William “Jimmy” True (Viola Harrington); ; sisters, Donna Kay Chowning (Don) Spencer and Lavina M. Dorris (Jason Dyer) and Lori True (Tuck) Tinsley; brothers, Lee (Candy) True and Adam (Samantha) True; grandmother, Robbie Jean West True; uncle, Bill (Donna) Brown; several nieces and nephews; and grandmother in love, Juanita Dorris.
