Mark Powell

Mark Evan Powell, 81, of Adams, passed away on Sunday November 28, 2021, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday December 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams with Reverend Tyler Estep officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel Willis, Michael Neblett, Marshall Neblett, Josh Bagby, David Eden, Coby Traughber, and Jesse Powell. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Mr. Powell was born April 25, 1940, in Los Angeles, CA to the late Roy Sinclair and Edith Irene Gorsuch Powell. He was retired from the construction business and from farming. Mr. Powell owned and operated Apple Dell Farm for many years. He enjoyed bear hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Powell was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Vernice Scott Powell. Mr. Powell is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Marnice and Rusty Biggs of Adams, Melissa and Mike Hester of Cedar Hill, Mandie and Mickey Neblett of Adams, Marci Powell of Adams, by his grandchildren: Michael (Cierra) Neblett, Marshall (Katie) Neblett, MeKayla Sprouse, MeLeigha Hester, Shane Hester, and Caleb Hester, and by his great grandchildren: Harrison Neblett, Spencer Neblett, Brooklyn Sprouse, Adairlyn Hester, Hallie Hester, and Hollis Hester.
