Mark E. Minnis

Mark E. "Pork Chop" Minnis, age 53 of Springfield, passed from this life on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home. His remains are to be cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Jared officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the hour of service.

Mark was born November 4, 1968 in Springfield. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and had worked at Nashville Wire. He loved his family, especially his son and his mother. He was a diehard fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and was also a fan of the Chicago Bears.

He is survived by his son, Blane Minnis (Katie Ladner) of Greenville; father, Kelly (Sheryl) Minnis of Springfield; mother, Judy (Danny) Wilson of Sparta; brothers, Brad (Christy) Minnis of Cedar Hill and Barry (Shawn) Minnis of Cedar Hill; dear lifelong friend, Jennifer Curtis of Springfield; step-brother, Danny Wilson, Jr. of Ridgetop; and many nieces and nephews.
