Mark Ray King, 62, of Pleasant View, passed away on Sunday January 25, 2026, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center. Celebration of Life services will be conducted Saturday January 31st at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Michael Rule officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mark was born July 24, 1963, in Chicago, IL, to the late Bobby King and the late Shirley Hadfield King. He worked as an Inventory Specialist with Electrolux in Springfield. Mark loved listening to music, watching TV, especially movies, and was an avid football fan, and his teams were the Chicago Bears and the Tennessee Titans. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed being a Papaw and Grandpa to anyone that needed one. The love of his life was his Chihuahua’s, Abbey and Zoomie.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his brother: Larry King. Mark is survived by his wife: Dina Smith King of Pleasant View, by his daughter: Christine Almaraz and husband, Israel, of Oak Forest, IL, by his sons: Mark King, Jr. and wife, Megan, of Springfield, Markam “Markie” King of Springfield, by his grandchildren: Bentley King, Ariana and Bella Almaraz, and by his brothers: Jeff King, Michael King, Robbie King, and Steve King all of Chicago, IL.
