Margie (Keith) Simmons

Margie Keith Simmons, 92, of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Friday January 28, 2022, at The Arbors at Springfield Heights. Funeral services will be conducted Monday January 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Owens Chapel Cemetery with Kris Simmons, Graydon T. Simmons, Jr., Tim Simmons, Keith Simmons, Trudy Simmons, Kevin Simmons, and Nick Simmons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Simmons was born November 13, 1929, in Cross Plains. She was a graduate of East Robertson High School, where she was a star Basketball player and graduated with honors. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado, AR. While living in El Dorado, she did volunteer work in her community. Mrs. Simmons was an avid golfer and she made stained glass crafts. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to all that knew her. Mrs. Simmons loved spending time with her family and enjoying life with the many years that God blessed her with. She was preceded in death by her father: L.O. Keith, by her mother: Goldie West Fuqua, by her husband: Graydon Thomas “Jake” Simmons, Sr., by her brothers: Biddie, Maxie, and Don Keith, and by her great great grandchild: Mason Shoup.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Kevin Simmons of Sherwood, AR, Graydon T. and Kathy Simmons, Jr. of Hendersonville, Keith and Wendy Simmons of Houston, TX, Tim Simmons of Russellville, KY, by her daughter: Trudy Simmons of Hot Springs Village, AR, by her brother: Medford Keith of Springfield, by her sisters: Opal Rush of Houston, TX, and Marie Choate of Greenbrier, and by her 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
