Major Samuel Joseph Keith, 52, of White House died on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Baldwin and Tim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Cross Plains Cemetery. Sheriff Michael Van Dyke, Chief Deputy Richard Head, Major Tony Crawford, Lieutenant Kenneth Drake, Lieutenant Klint Arnold, Sergeant Patrick Traughber will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 7, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at 1:00 PM.
Major Keith was born on July 2, 1968 to Ronnie Joseph and the late Peggy Jo Robertson Keith. Sam worked at the Robertson County Sherriff’s Office for 13 years. He started as a Corrections Officer and worked his way through the ranks becoming a Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and on Monday, August 31, 2020 he was promoted to Major of the Robertson County Detention Facility. Major Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years; Donna Gail Keith of White House, His father; Ronnie Joseph Keith of Orlinda, His children; Daniel Gray and wife Amanda of White House, Ashley Gray and husband Andrew of Goodlettsville, and Dustin Ware and wife Lydia of Scottsville, KY, his brother; Ronnie Jason Keith and wife Lisa of Orlinda, Grandchildren; Logan Gray and wife Hannah, Payton Gray, Houston Gray, Violet Burch, Arion Ware, Persephonne Watson, great granddaughter; Isabella Gray, his nephews; Ronnie Joseph Keith of Orlinda, and Aaron Jackson. Major Samuel Joseph Keith leaves behind many friends, brothers, and sisters of the Robertson County Sherriff’s Office.
