Madeline (Bagsby) Dorris

Madeline Dorris, age 84 of Greenbrier, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at NorthCrest Health. Funeral services and visitation will be private. Burial will be held in Greenbrier Cemetery with Larry Stroup, Jerry Taylor, Marlin Sholar, Dale Gilmore, Ivan Bell, and Joe Brown serving as pallbearers.

Ms. Madeline was born May 1, 1936 in Davidson County to the late Charlie Thomas and Ruby Ethel Carter Bagsby. She is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Howard Martin. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was as her husband described, an excellent homemaker. She had a kind heart and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and had a love for animals.

Ms. Madeline is survived by her husband of almost 68 years, Bobby Lee Dorris of Greenbrier; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Kay and Joey Henderson of Springfield; grandchildren, Chance Dwayne (Jennifer) Holmes of Greenbrier and Shalee Holmes of Largo, FL; and great grandchildren, Cody and Chase Holmes, sister: Charlene Martin of Hendersonville.

The family request those that are asked to come for the services to please wear your mask the entire time present and to follow all Covid guidelines.
