Lynn Coleen (McMillan) Merritt

Lynn Coleen Merritt, 71, of Springfield, passed from this life on Monday October 30, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday November 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brandon Patterson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Bilyeu, Austin Bilyeu, Hunter Clark, Mat Cordova, Dale Merritt, and Jacob Merritt. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday.

Lynn was born April 27, 1952, in Flint, MI, to the late James Ernest and Helen Deloris Rex McMillan. She was a retired School Bus driver for Metro Schools. Lynn loved her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Roger Dale Merritt, Sr., by her son: Jason Brian Merritt, by her great grandchild: Ropyr Clark, and by her brother: James Albert McMillan.

Lynn is survived by her children: Katherine Deloris (Tom) Williams of Springfield, Jamie Lynn (Charlie) Patterson of Nashville, Roger Dale (Carol) Merritt, Jr., of Hermitage, and Sandra Lee Merritt of Lebanon, by her grandchildren: Brittany (Mat) Cordova, Brandon Patterson, Danielle Elmore, Dale Merritt, Jacob Merritt, Charity Mackenzie, Stephanie (Hunter) Clark, Hunter (Gabby) Bilyeu, Austin Bilyeu, Makalynn Lee, and Delacey Lee, by her 10 great grandchildren with #11 soon to be, by her companion and best friend: Philip Trent Jones, by her sister: Teresa Ann (Roy) Pulley of Indian Mound, and by the one that out ranked anyone else, her Boston Terrier, Billy.
