Louise "Mammie" (Owens) Burnette

Louise “Mammie” Burnette, 83, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday September 17, 2025. She was born April 19, 1942, in Franklin, KY, to the late Finis and Mayme Pirtle Owens. Louise lived a life dedicated to her family and her passions. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Louise enjoyed babysitting, going dancing, sewing, fishing, and traveling. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Louise was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, KY.

Louise was first married to Gordon Burnette for 45 years. Together they raised their four children. Following his death, she later married Donald Pitt until his death in 2019. She is survived by her children: Debbie (Lewis) Baggett of Clarksville, Janice (John) Drake of Orlinda, Sarah Cole of Portland, and Scott (Rhonda) Burnette of Cedar Hill, by her bonus daughter: Pam Drury of Portland, by her grandchildren: David (Autumn) Baggett of Clarksville, James (Stephanie) Baggett of Clarksville, Janice (Eric) Keen of Westmoreland, Celina Burnette of Cedar Hill, and Maci (Austin) Watson of Murfreesboro, and by her five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday September 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Danny Holland officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery with Scott Burnette, Gary Gregory, Mike Cobb, Dale Owens, Terry Burnette, and John Drake serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
