Lorene Elizabeth Farmer Clark, age 101, of Springfield, passed from this life on Thursday November 9, 2023, at her home. A private family graveside service will be conducted in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Bro. David Davis and Bro. Judson Phenicie officiating. There will be a time of visitation, in celebration of Ms. Lorene’s life, with the family on Monday November 13th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church on 16th Ave. in Springfield.
Ms. Lorene was born December 12, 1921, in Cross Plains, to the late Henry Clay and Barbara Leona Rawls Farmer, Sr. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1939 and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Springfield. Ms. Lorene worked many years as a cook at Larry’s Restaurant, where she was well known for making all the desserts, breads, and cinnamon rolls. She loved her Lord, her family, and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence B. Clark, by her sons: Robert and David Clark, by her siblings: Annie Hendrix, Louise Draughon, Tiney Bilyeu, Manora Dempsey, Carl, Ranel, and Henry Farmer, Jr., and by two grandchildren.
Ms. Lorene is survived by her sons: Bill (Francine) Clark of Nashville, Randy (Leanne) Clark of Springfield, by her daughters: Barbara West of Greenbrier, Lynn (Rick) Brewer of Springfield, and Elizabeth Clark of Greenbrier, by her grandchildren: Logan Clark, Victoria Clark, Robert Clark, Susan Clark, Penny Hill, Eric West, Cindy Clark, and Randy Clark, Jr., and by her eleven great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
