Leon Neblett Obituary

Leon Neblett, 67, of Cedar Hill, TN departed this life on March 15, 2015 at Vanderbilt Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 21st at 12 noon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Port Royal. Burial will follow in Benevolent Lodge Cemetery in Port Royal. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home. There will be no visitation on Saturday prior to the funeral service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lowe and Jamie D. Neblett Corbin. He was born May 4, 1947 in Robertson County and professed his hope in Christ under the leadership of Reverend Darden at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Port Royal, TN. He re-dedicated his life to Christ before he passed away.

He was united in holy matrimony to Lizzie Mae Wright, and they were married for 46 years. Leon, also known by his trucker nickname as "TK" worked as an over the road truck driver for many years until he retired from State Industries. He also served in the United States Army. He was a man who truly loved his family and would do whatever he could to help a neighbor. He loved just being with his family and hanging out with his dog "Charlie" who he called his buddy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Lizzie Mae Neblett, two daughters, Stephanie Dowlen of Allensville, KY; Erica Renee Neblett (Tim Bailey) of Cedar Hill, TN; four sons, Gerald Neblett (Christina) of Cedar Hill, TN; James Neblett (Lisa Trembley) of Cedar Hill, TN; Troy Neblett of Cedar Hill, TN; and Stacy Neblett (Michelle Pentecost) of Cedar Hill, TN: one brother, Billy Williams (Linda) of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Mary Kathryn Williams of Savannah, GA; Maxine Hill of Nashville, TN; Mother-in-law, Roberta Wright of Springfield, TN; three sisters-in-law, Delores McFadden (Jessie) of Rochester, NY; Sylvia Wright of Springfield, TN; and Josephine Hardin of Springfield, TN; three brothers-in-law, Robert C. Wright of Springfield, TN; Mike Wright of Springfield, TN; and Clift Wright of Springfield, TN; thirteen Grandchildren, eight Great Grandchildren, six Nephews, seven Nieces, special family members, Ruth and Brenda Wright of Nashville, TN; special friends, Jodie Traughber of Adams, TN; and Chad Payne of Cedar Hill, TN and a host of other family and friends.
