Laura Ellen Howe, age 62 of Springfield, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at her home. Her remains are to be cremated and private family services will be held.

Mrs. Howe was born October 2, 1957 in Huntington, WV. She was a sales manager for Belk. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her lawn. She loved her children and grandchildren and all children. She also loved to travel and go boating in the summer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Gillman Marcum, and a grandchild, Bradley Burns.

Mrs. Howe is survived by her husband, Jim Howe of Springfield; father, Arthur Marcum of Breeden, WV; sons, Bill Oppenheimer of Springfield, Anthony Pompa of Springfield, and John Pompa of Columbus, OH; daughters, Erica Pompa of Baldwinsville, NY and Michelle Pompa of Columbus, OH; sisters, Arthena Clifton of Weedsport, NY and Wanda Woolever of Springfield; and grandchildren, Jordan James, Mikey Kral, Connor Kral, Tommy Oppenheimer, Kendall Kral, Liam Oppenheimer, Evan Oppenheimer, and Addyson Kral.
