Kay Fletcher Tate, age 85 of Hendersonville and formerly of Cross Plains and Orlinda, passed from this life on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Tristar NorthCrest Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Cross Plains Cemetery with Tim Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Brandon Tate, Steven Sloan, Sammy Barry, Cody Dillard, Sonny Jones, and Mike Jones. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Ms. Kay was born March 27, 1937 in Orlinda to the late Webb and Margaret Morris Fletcher. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church in Hendersonville and was a member of the East Robertson High School Class of 1955. She worked as marketing director for a retirement community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Fletcher Haines.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Beverly Tate of Springfield and Brian and Beverly Tate of Cross Plains; grandchildren, Brandon Tate, Shannon Biggs, Suzanne Jones, Steven Sloan, and Heath Sloan; great grandchild, Emme Tate; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to Alive Hospice. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
