Judy Ann Strange, 68, of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Wednesday June 17, 2020 at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday June 23rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor David Price officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Nathan Strange, Jared Strange, Tyler Burnette, Kevin Litchford, Kevin Talley, Grant Palmer, and Neal Palmer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Reed Palmer, Matthew Jakes, and Mark Thomas. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. It is asked that everyone respect the CDC guidelines of social distancing. With the current Corona virus circumstances, the family wishes to extend an open invitation to anyone that has reservations about attending visitations and funeral services at this time, to feel welcome to only attend the graveside committal that will be at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday following the funeral service.
Judy was born November 26, 1951 in Knoxville. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Coopertown and was a retired Underwriting Assistant in the Insurance profession. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and spending time with her family and friends. Judy loved planning family gatherings and activities. She was preceded in death by her parents: Orman and Elsie A. Hester Cherry.
Judy is survived by her husband of 48 years: George L. Strange of Greenbrier, by her daughter and son-in-law: Stefanie and Tyler Burnette of Nashville, by her granddaughter: Elizabeth “Lizzie” Burnette of Nashville, by her brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Shirley Cherry of Cave City, KY, and by her sisters and brother-in-law: Brenda Allgood of Greenbrier, Debra and Mark Thomas of Nashville.
The family request, if so desired, that memorial contributions be made to the Providence Baptist Church building fund.
