Joy Love Scott

Joy Love Scott, 64, of Springfield, passed from this life on Thursday February 3, 2022, at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday February 7th at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Chad Curtis, Brent Crain, Chad Gregory, Steve Frost, George Brown, Eric Brown, Adam Hulsey, Jeff Kinle, and William Butch Justice serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Joy was born in Springfield on June 23, 1957, to the late Wallace Leo and Birdie Ann Brown Love, Sr. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1975, she attended Martin Methodist College to work towards a music degree, was a member of North Springfield Baptist Church, and was a retired Registration Clerk from North Crest Medical Center. Joy loved dancing, reading, and singing. Her family was dear to her, and she loved spending time with each of them. Whenever she greeted you, it was always with a smile. Joy loved and accepted everyone for who and what they were, and she only wanted the same in return.

Joy is survived by her husband, Bill Scott of Springfield, by her brother and sister-in-law: Wallace and Linda Love of Springfield, by her nieces and nephew: Velvet Carrington, Courtney (Adam) Hulsey, Victoria (Jeff) Kinle, and Corey Love, by her great nieces and nephews: Cooper Hulsey, Parker Kate Hulsey, Britney Carrington, Kendall Kinle, and Baker Graves Kinle, and by her fur baby that she loved so much: Velma Louise.
