Joseph Mills

Joseph David Mills, 74, of Springfield, passed away on Friday November 5, 2021, at TriStar North Crest Medical Center. His remains were cremated, and no services are scheduled. Mr. Mills was born December 6, 1946, in Huntsville, AL to the late Luther J.D. and Ruby Lee Parker Mills. He was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1963, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was a retired restaurant cook from Torino’s in Springfield, where he worked for over 30 years. Mr. Mills played football in both high school and college and was an avid Alabama fan. His passion was cooking and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Alice Wells Mills, by his daughter: Dana Susanne Mills, and by his stepson: Joseph Williamson. Mr. Mills is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Amy and Kevin Armstrong of Springfield, by his stepson: James Williamson, by his brother: Jerry Sanderson of Alabama, by his sisters: Shirley Hill and Nancy McAnally both of Huntsville, AL, and by his grandsons: Austin and Steven Armstrong both of Springfield.
