Joe Thomas “JoJo” Goodfred, Jr., 55, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday January 22, 2023, at Skyline Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday January 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with Barry Rice, Nolan Stout, Ryan Harrell, Fred Wesche, Mikey Murphy, and Allen Anderson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
JoJo was born September 23, 1967, in Nashville. He was the owner and operator of Joe’s Lawn Service and was a member of Friendship Baptist in Millersville. JoJo enjoyed fishing, collecting miniature racecars, and watching NASCAR, wrestling, and football, especially the Tennessee Titans. He was preceded in death by his stepmother: Pamela Goodfred, by his stepfather: Joe Norris, by his brothers: Jeffery Allen and Ronald Dewayne Norris, and by his niece: Kelsea Lamb.
JoJo is survived by his mother: Carol Cohea Norris of Cedar Hill, by his father: Joe Thomas Goodfred, Sr., of Joelton, by his sisters: Kathy Jo Goodfred (Jeff) of Springfield, Precious, Breanna, and Joyce Norris all of Cedar Hill, by his brother: Jeremiah (Alyssa) Norris of Cedar Hill, by his aunts: Terry (Sam) Lawson of Indianapolis, IN, Deborah (Marshall) Baker of Cedar Hill, and Tina (Bo) Staton of Hendersonville, by his very special cousin: Patricia Pendleton Stout, and by his nieces: Shelby Goodfred and Haylee Lamb.
