Joseph Wayne “Joe” Sircy, 77, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday September 25, 2020 at his home. Graveside services will be conducted Monday September 28th at 1:00 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY with John Fox, Bubba Davenport, Johnny Crabtree, Burton Glover, Raymond Hooper, and Melvin Baldwin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Stubblefield, Jerry Sircy, and Wayne Jones. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Robertson County Funeral Home.
Joe was born December 21, 1942 in Schochoh, KY to the late William Cordell and Vinie Irene Swallows Sircy. He owned and operated Sircy’s Muffler and Radiator in Springfield for many years. Joe was a member of the New Chapel Men’s Club and the Larry’s Restaurant Round Table. He loved Kentucky Basketball, Nascar, restoring old cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Joann Pitts, Jimmy, Leonard, and Jerry Sircy.
Joe is survived by his wife of 25 years: Donna Gower Sircy of Springfield, by his son and daughter-in-law: Joey and Melissa Sircy of Springfield, by his daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and Nicky Gregory of Greenbrier, by his stepson: Ty Austin of Nashville, by his stepdaughters: Kenna (Tommy) Hallman of Springfield, Ashley Austin (Alan) of Springfield, and by his grandchildren: Hailey Hallman, Madison Hallman, and Brianna Austin.
